Selecting backgrounds
Selecting the background for your headshot can be a difficult decision especially when there are so many options available. The most important factor to consider when selecting your background is the usage, where will your photo be displayed and to what audience. Most commonly found recently are what we call lifestyle images where the background is blurred which could be an office space, nice texture, city landscape or nature. What Should I Wear?
Clothing Choices is something you need to get right. Sometimes the most beautiful dress or suit just doesn’t work which is why we suggest bringing a change of outfit. There are a few things you should avoid most importantly fabrics with small detailed patterns as this can cause Morie, Morie is where a still image looks like it’s moving like an optical illusion and we don’t want that. Secondly, branded clothing, although it may look cool and fashionable now perhaps is 6 months the fashion dies out or you can’t use your image on some promotional material due to branding. I don’t know how it works
Don’t worry we have made it as easy and hassle-free as possible. You simply need to book online via our booking system or call us directly, there are no upfront costs, and payment is dealt with after the photoshoot. How to find the studio
Located in Central Manchester, our period studios have an abundance natural of light and characteristic features. Stunning views over the park wonderfully inspiring and creative setting which is loved by us, and enjoyed by our visitors. Easily accessible by car with parking available at the studio car park or free on the street, Manchester Piccadilly station is just a short stroll away, we are conveniently placed for all to visit.
